PEDASTRIAN BRIDGE

2017

The project of the pedestrian bridge was a possibility of creating an extraordinary architectural form. The new bridge in plan consists of passing arcs that create a new viewpoints over the water, towards the Necko Lake and river Netta. The two arc pathways are connected in the middle with a rotating bridge positioned 4,50 m above the water level. This allows a passage of the most ships and sailboats operating in the area, in case of particular necessity, the bridge can be mechanically rotated allowing larger units to pass. The form of the bridge and its supporting pylons refer to the shape of sails and rigid rigging of a sailing vessel. The 35 meters-high viewpoint tower next to the bridge has been designed for the second phase of the investment.
