MODULAR SPORTS CENTRE

The project of sustainable shopping mall. The concept was based on a symbolic connection of two energy flows: natural energy and people walking through it, creating other stream. The shopping mall is not only a sustainable building, efficient in using alternative energy sources, but also a space that has a scope of teaching people to respect the nature. The interiors have been designed with a use of fully recycled or recyclable materials, that provide warm and friendly feeling to visitors. In the centre of a complex, two towers has been located which serve as an orientation point within the building and as an important landmark in an urban scale. Their additional purpose was to provide information to the visitors on the energy produced by the photovoltaic panels and the quantity of water recycled from the roof. Therefore they were named Water and Sun Towers.
